Trip Photos & Movies:

Each Trip link listed below causes a page to be displayed with thumbnail pictures from that trip in a grid. When there are a large number of pictures, extra pages are provided to continue the grid and a link to each continuation page is provided at the bottom of the pages. The grid items are shown with any movies first and with photos following- within these two groups the items are usually in time sequence but if looking for an item of interest it is advisable to scan the full set of items.

Detailed viewing

When on a grid page, to see a larger version of a photo or run a movie, click on its thumbnail pic (NOT on any caption below it).

If you want to see a sequence of enlarged photos and/or movies one after the other, in succession forwards or backwards, without having to go back to the grid page, they can be viewed in ‘Carousel Mode’:

The browser must have Javascript enabled.

To enter this mode, click the ‘View Pics Serially’  link on the grid page. If a warning is shown about restricting the webpage from running scripts, this needs to be allowed by clicking the 'Allow Blocked Content' button. The first item in the grid on that page will be shown. If the first item is a photo it will be shown enlarged; if a movie it will be ready to run (click arrowhead at bottom left). If a movie item is flagged as invalid or if its sound is muted, try starting it by going back to the grid page and clicking on the thumbnail.

·       To move on to the next item, click the ‘>’ button or the right arrow key; to move to the previous item, click the ‘<’ button or the left arrow key. If the event has more than one grid page, then on reaching the end of each grid, the viewing will automatically move onto the grid on the next page.

·       To move forward to the very last item of the event, click the ‘>>’ button; to move back to the very first of the event, click the ‘<<’ button.

·       If there are both movies and photos in the event, the movies will occur first then be followed by the photos, and a ‘Fst Pic’  button will be visible. To go to the first photo, click the ‘Fst Pic’  button.

·       If the movies and pictures of the event were assigned to more than one grid page, a ‘[’ button and a‘]’ button will be visible. To move to the first item in the grid containing the current picture, click the ‘[’ button; to move to the last item in the grid containing the current picture, click the‘]’ button.

·       Pressing the RETURN key or the SPACE bar will repeat the action of whichever of these buttons (but not keys) was last clicked.
